The Leiter Building
The Second Leiter Building houses the college's Chicago single building
Robert Morris was established in 1913 in Carthage, Illinois, assuming control over the previous area of Carthage College. In 1975 it obtained/converged with the Moser School of Business and moved to Chicago (in the end moving the Carthage area to Springfield). Since 1988 it has opened various extra area destinations around Chicago and Central Illinois.
The college is housed in one building, it doesn't have a Campus.
Robert Morris–Illinois athletic groups are known as the Eagles. The college is an individual from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), basically contending in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). Men's games incorporate baseball, ball, knocking down some pins, crosscountry, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball; while ladies' games incorporate b-ball, rocking the bowling alley, cheerleading, crosscountry, move, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field and volleyball. The current Athletic Director is Megan Smith Eggert. In 2014 RMU turned into the primary college to offer gaming grants for a varsity e-sports group which right now contends in League of Legends, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and Dota 2 rivalries.
Men's and Women's ice hockey contend in their individual divisions of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
Branch areas
Its sister branch areas RMU–Springfield, RMU–Lake County, and RMU–Peoria are individuals from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
RMU–Springfield – Men's games incorporate baseball, ball, ice hockey and soccer; while ladies' games incorporate b-ball, knocking down some pins, cheerleading, crosscountry, move, soccer and softball.
RMU–Lake County – Men's games incorporate soccer; while ladies' games incorporate rocking the bowling alley and soccer.
RMU–Peoria – Men's games incorporate rocking the bowling alley and ice hockey; while ladies' games incorporate knocking down some pins, soccer and volleyball.
Programs
Men's Basketball is one of the predominant projects in the NAIA, having achieved the Final Four of the NAIA competition three times in the most recent five years. Othyus Jeffers in the past of the Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, and San Antonio Spurs played for Robert Morris amid the 2007–08 season. The groups all practice/play at The Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, Illinois. Furthermore, RMU fields groups in Chicago at the ACHA Division II and ACHA Division III levels as autonomous groups. RMU–Springfield and RMU–Peoria field groups at the ACHA Division III and play in the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association. In 2014, the RMU-Gold group played in the ACHA Men's Division I National Championship diversion versus Arizona State, and completed as national runners-up.
Ladies' Ice Hockey under the direction of Head Coach Jennifer Wilson, plays in the American Collegiate Hockey Association at the Division I level in the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association (CCWHA). The Lady Eagles play at The Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, Illinois. The cooperative efforts about a 35-amusement plan against ACHA Women's opposition and in addition recreations against various NCAA Division I and Division III rivals. Starting in the 2010–11 season the group joined the new Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association. The group won Women's ACHA Division I National Championships in 2005 and 2007 and were runners-up in 2006, 2008, and 2009.
Ladies' Softball has had much accomplishment at RMU–Springfield winning the USCAA National Championship in 2006 and 2010, accepting third place in 2007, and second place in 2008 and 2009.
Men's Football started NAIA intercollegiate play in 2011 under the direction of Head Coach Jared Williamson. They play at Morris Field (the old Forest View High School) in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and contend in the Mideast League of the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA).
Men's Bowling won the Men's Intercollegiate Team Championship in 2013.
Ladies' Bowling won the Women's Intercollegiate Team Championship in Reno, Nevada in 2014.
